High-fired clay sculptural oil lamp.
This lamp can be fuelled with ordinary cooking oil. Fill the lamp with oil through the larger opening and allow the wicks to soak for a few minutes, then the wick ends can be lighted.
While the lamp is burning, make sure the wick is not too long, as this may cause smoking. The wick can be adjusted using small pliers or a similar tool.
A wick made from natural materials, such as cotton, linen or hemp is suitable for this lamp.
