My heart belongs to handmade craft. It was this love that led me to ceramics ten years ago. At first, it was just a hobby, and I could never have imagined how big a part of my life it would become. I received my ceramic education at the Olustvere School of Service and Rural Economics.
I enjoy rounded forms—pleasant and warm, nice to hold in the hand. I try to find a balance between tradition and modernity. I believe that functionality is one of the key qualities of my ceramics.
Nerikomi holds a special place in my heart. From a technical perspective, it is a personal challenge. From a creative point of view, it is a form of contemplation: the unique patterns seem to invite us into their world—to dream, to sense the silhouettes of familiar shapes in the swirls of colored clay. Just like in childhood, when we watched the clouds or admired the patterns in a kaleidoscope.
