Lyzell Lohvart-Urve

My work is born from an inner impulse to constantly learn, discover and get closer to myself. Making clay and ceramics offer endless opportunities for this. I enjoy the process from idea to realization. I am constantly changing and so my work keeps pace with me. In today's oversaturated world, it is especially important to create unique, soulful ceramics. Most of the works are completed using the turning technique and I often add graphic details.

My first contact with ceramics took place in 2009 while studying art at Tallinn University, which resulted in me choosing to do my thesis in ceramics. In 2020, I started vocational studies in Olustvere and at the beginning of 2025, I became a member of the newly established Professional Ceramists' Association.
